Devotion, Praise & Prayer Gathering

“One day Jesus was praying in a certain place.
When he finished, one of his disciples said to him,
"Lord, teach us to pray, just as John taught his disciples.”
Luke 11:1 NIV

Each Wednesday at 7:30 pm, we  gather in a small group setting in the home of a MBC congregant. (please click on the "Calendar" link under "News and  Events" on the home page menu bar for current location).

We begin with a teaching on spiritual growth to deepen our relationship with the Lord.  This devotional time prepares our thoughts for meeting with the Lord in corporate prayer.  Each lesson draws our thoughts to seek a more passionate pursuit of God’s glory in personal and corporate worship.

Following the short devotional those present communicate prayer concerns for the church family, personal needs or world concerns. The church prayer bulletin is reviewed with updates given.  Then the group enters into a time of intense prayer, as those around the circle lift up their praise, thanksgiving, and requests before the Throne of Grace. Included in this prayer time is the concern for the persecuted church in various locations of the world.

For those who are not available on Wednesday nights,
a prayer bulletin is made available to be used during an individual’s daily prayer time.
Prayer is indeed the life blood of this church.

"…pray continually"
1 Thessalonians 5:17 NIV
