If it is summer, it is time for Daily Vacation Bible School. This annual ministry of MBC finds upwards of 120 children and 30 plus ministry servants enjoying special themed Bible studies, music, games, crafts, skits, contest, and snacks each night from 6:30 pm – 9:00 pm for an entire week in July.
Using biblically based materials, the Gospel message is clearly presented to children aged kindergarten through 12th grade, with an adult class as well. The excitement builds throughout the week and ends with a closing barbecue for children and parents along with a closing program on the Sunday following DVBS week. Individual and team prizes are awarded and all the attendees have an opportunity to display their newly learned music through a special presentation for the enjoyment of the parents. T-shirts are given to all who pre-register for the 2011 DVBS.
The children depart with their crafts, a week full of fun and memories, and the anticipation of continuing the excitement of the Gospel message through a mailbox follow-up program and the resumption of Kids’ Club, Junior Youth Challenge, and Senior High Experience in the fall.
