The message of righteousness and purity that Christianity brings into the midst of the world begins in the home. God has ordained that mothers should raise their children to think and act in godly ways, helping them to have the renewed mind that keeps them from participating in the sexually promiscuous lifestyle and drug/drunken parties of their peers.

May 23“ Family and Morals”Romans13:11-14
Children often reflect the standards and morals with which they are raised. Not always do the outward actions of the parents convey the same message to their children as their attitudes, comments, and their choices of entertainment. Christian morals must be more than skin deep; they must come from the heart, from a passionate pursuit of God’s glory in word and in deed.
May 30“Family and Memories”Romans 13:11-14
We all have memories, both good and bad, that affect our lives. Memorial Day was implemented so that we would remember the cost of our nations freedom – something that many in this nation have forgotten. What is true of our nation is true of us as Christians. Paul reminds us that we can focus our thoughts on the past memories of our sinful lives, or we can redirect those memories to reflect Christ.
June 6 “Family and Missions”Romans 13:11-14
What does it mean to “understand the present time?” Paul informs us that spiritual lethargy makes us unprepared for Christ’s return. Instead, we need to awaken our hearts and minds to the anticipation of the fact that our ultimate salvation by faith in Jesus Christ is much nearer now, so we need to be more anxious to share the Good News with others while there is still time.
June 13“Family and Massages”Romans 13:11-14
A good massage takes the tension out of the body and removers the soreness from our muscles. Yet, often a massage is connected to the lifestyle of sin. The Apostle warns us that there is a decent form of behavior and a sexually intoxicating approach to life. As believers in Jesus Christ, we have to learn what it means to “behave decently.”
June 20“Family and Modeling”Romans 13:11-14
God may have given to mothers the instincts for raising the children, but He gave to fathers the responsibility of providing headship in the home. In this generation where fatherhood is forgotten and even, at times, mocked, Christian fathers must step up and provide solid mentoring for their children. This is true, not only for our physical children, but for the spiritual children, as well.
